Frozen Dance

In this activity, everyone is enjoying the free form dance as the music plays. When the music stops, each player must freeze immediately and hold that position until the music begins again. At the same time all students should follow the facilitator actions just with their eyes.

As music stops, and everyone is “frozen”, the facilitator points with finger on one of the actors, “unfreezing” just him or her. The chosen person should demonstrate the particular dance move to the team in silence.

The group tries to repeat the new move shown, following the performer, as soon as the new music round starts. The dance continues until the music is interrupted again, and the next round starts with a new showman, chosen by the leader.
